The ICDL Advanced qualification is designed to progress the computer skills benchmark from the ICDL to the next level of competence. It tests an individual's competence at a much higher level with particular applications. It is modular and a certificate is awarded for successfully passing the test for each module.
ICDL Advanced modules available in 2008 are:- Word Processing / CP027N
- Spreadsheets / CP029N
- Presentations (PowerPoint) / CP031N
- Databases (Access) / CP033N
Participants may study for one or more of the above modules. It is not a requirement to pass the core ICDL before taking the advanced level, but a reasonably high standard of competence in the application concerned is required.
